Literacy Project Officer
Maisie comes from a background in creative learning, having worked as a producer of community and family arts learning projects in the UK for 9 years. After spending a year working on youth-led community resilience projects in rural communities in Tanzania, Maisie undertook an MSc in International Development: Development Management at the Global Development Institute, Manchester. Whilst there she focused studies on citizen-led development and urban inequality, and conducted research in the areas of governmental education provision in East Africa and the political marginalisation of vulnerable migrant populations.
Maisie is passionate about identifying and enabling routes to overcoming inequality, and is a keen advocate for access to quality education for all.
