Regional Project Officer
Umar Faruk Bello attended Katsina Teachers College, obtaining a Grade Two Teachers Certificate. He also attended the former Advanced Teachers College, Azare, as a pioneer student, where he obtained the Nigerian Certificate of Education. He is also a graduate of former University of Sokoto, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and History.
Mallam (Teacher) Umar has been a classroom teacher in a number of Primary and Secondary schools in Kaduna and later Katsina State. He has served as Principal of five public secondary schools in Katsina State over a period of seventeen years. He was promoted to an Assistant Director in charge of schools and later Director in charge of policy implementation and monitoring at the Katsina State Ministry of Education for a period of four years.
Mallam Umar joined the Universal learning Solutions in October, 2017 as Project Coordinator and has moved through the ranks to Regional Project Officer. He joined Universal Learning Solutions to bring his wealth of experience and connections in the public and private sector so as to contribute in changing the narrative in literacy and educational development in Northern Nigeria and beyond.
Mallam Umar is married with fifteen children.
